Artist Biography
Matthew Terpstra graduated from Gettysburg College with a BA in Studio Arts with a focus on drawing and painting. In addition to his education at Gettysburg, he has studied Fine Arts and photography at various institutions such as State University of New York New Paltz, the University California San Diego, and Syracuse University in Florence, Italy.

Currently residing in Eldersburg, MD, Matthew enjoys focusing on the natural symmetry surrounding us in our everyday lives, and in capturing it through photography, painting, or drawing.
My Motivation
Every artist sees the world in their own unique way. Throughout the course of my life I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and see many different and beautiful things, but I have come to realize that what one person sees as exotic, another person views as just another everyday occurrence. My goal is to preserve these moments as I come across them, and present them for all to reflect on.
My Mediums
I have never been one to focus on any one particular form of expression. Due to this, my work is reflective of the many different influences around me at any given time.
